Woven Checks Shawl by Stephen West

Choose your favourite solid and self-striping combo to knit this show-stopping shawl! Starting at the tip, you will work increases towards the edges to form a triangle shape. Strategic stripes and slip stitches form the beautiful and deceptively simple woven checks motif, giving the illusion of your self-striping yarn weaving in and out of solid garter ridges. The whole shape is then neatly framed in a crisp i-cord edge. With only one colour being used at a time, this beautiful shawl is the perfect introduction for adventurous beginners to dip into the world of multicolour knits! 

Please note that if you are knitting this shawl using West Wool Bicycle, you will need to bind off earlier than is stated in the pattern.

Yarn Requirements: 200g of a solid colour fingering weight and 200g of a self-striping fingering weight yarn
