        Painting Bricks by Stephen West

        Originally featured in Painting Shawls by Stephen West, the Paitning Bricks shawl is a splashy semi-circle shawl. Slipped garter stitch bridges across streams of simple stockinette form a breathtaking brick texture. This motiff is adapted to form colourful chevrons around the border, all of which is framed in a crisp i-cord edge. With one colour used at a time, this pattern is an ideal introduction to multicolour projects. Choose your favourite kit and enjoy painting with yarn.
