Our Staff Spotlight for August is Marjanne! Marjanne currently works in our wonderful systems team, making sure everything runs smoothly and ensuring that our online shop and brick and mortar store are packed full of beautiful yarns. 

Marjanne and her brother were taught to knit by her grandmother, and whilst her brother was initially a better knitter, Marjanne persevered and expanded her creative skills by also learning how to sew and crochet. She especially likes to knit on holiday as she has the time and attention to dedicate to her projects, and remembers a time in Patagonia where she crocheted herself a pair of gloves just in time for the colder weather. Marjanne’s current knit-in-progress is the James N Watts’ Color Quadrant Crop and she also has a winter sweater on her needles in anticipation of the unpredictable Dutch autumn weather. When Marjanne isn’t knitting she loves baking, playing with her cat, dancing and playing the harp.
