JUNE 2022 - JAMES N WATTS

Our Designer of the Month for June is the delightful James N Watts.

James is a knitwear designer and professional violinist based in Tallahasee, Florida, whose designs feature gorgeously striking colour blocks - from timeless beret’s to fluffy sweaters and cropped tees. James’ love for fiber arts began at an early age when they were taught to crochet by their mother, before later teaching themselves to knit and sew. James released their first pattern, Best Beret, whilst studying for a Master of Music in violin performance in 2019. Because of the pandemic, their orchestral performance work was abruptly halted, prompting James to spend more time on pattern design, which is heavily inspired by various textures, techniques, and colours.
