YAL 2023 - COLOUR DEVELOPMENT

This year, we collaborated with Punk Rock Unicorn, Artemis Yarns, and Sysleriget for YAL around the theme of FLORA. Each custom colour palette is a beautiful bouquet of hand dyed colourways created especially for the Yarn A Long and we can't wait for you to get inspired by the lush, vibrant, and sophisticated tones. 

Collaborating on new colourways is one of our favourite way to showcase the amazing skills of our talented suppliers. We began the process with lots of flamboyant floral photography and we were amazed how each dyer translated the tones with their unique colour style.

You can expect a wide array of colours ranging from vibrant pinks, corals, and gold to subtle rosey blush tones and electric blue purple accents as well. Our YAL color collection contains 10 total skeins dyed in rich solids and eclectic speckled combinations.

To make this year's FLORA theme extra special, our florist friends at A.P. Bloem in Amsterdam created bouquets inspired by all of the surprise colourways. These radiant arrangements give you a little hint into each dyer's custom colour world.

We can't wait for you to experience another fun Yarn A Long year. We're going to learn new knitting skills together and enjoy so many delightful hand dyed colourways developed especially for our new YAL shawl designs.
