Meet Camp Counsellor Cierra: Ballyhoura Fibres

Dear Campers,

I’m thrilled to be part of Camp Craft this year! While this is my first time dyeing for Yarn A Long, it’s not my first time as a camp counsellor—I spent three summers as an outdoor instructor in upstate New York.

My favourite camp activities:

1. Tubing down the Hudson River
2. Eating s’mores
3. Making rubber band loom bracelets

What are yours?

When I dye yarn, I often think about those summers spent outdoors—hiking, paddling, and breathing in the forest air. The best part of my studio? The big window above my dye table where I can see Slievereagh mountain watching over me. 

My birthday is in the summer and one of my favourite traditions is spending the day out in the sunshine exploring.

I can’t wait to guide you through colour this summer!
