APRIL 2021

 Karla is our featured employee this month. She’s only been with us a short time but she’s already settling in well as our Westknits Administrator. Karla says her favourite thing about the job is being surrounded by creativity, getting insight into the process of releasing patterns, and helping out other knitters. 

Originally from Mexico, Karla has travelled extensively (this photo was taken while she was living and working in Nepal) and has always been a keen crafter. As a child, she made clothes for her barbie and was taught to knit by her Abuelita. The knitting bug really bit when she was about 16 years old. Now, she’s working on a crocheted dress for the summer!

When she’s not knitting or crocheting, Karla loves dancing, cooking, eating and yoga. She considers herself a true DIY girl and will give anything a go!
