MKAL 2020 - SLIPSTRAVAGANZA

The eleventh Westknits MKAL features a main color accented by three color pops. Honeycomb slip stitches form the bold center focal point of the shawl. Architectural columns, diamonds, slip stitches, and chevrons decorate the rest of this generously sized shawl. Slipstravaganza is a celebration of slip stitches. It represents the idea that shawls can become art when you think about the shawl as your canvas and yarns are the paint. The main color anchors the color pops, creating a grounding sense of harmony throughout the entire piece. This MKAL in 2020 also launched a series of patterns called Painting Honeycombs, which continued the theme of slip stitch honeycombs.
