SEPTEMBER 2024 - LYDIA MORROW

We are delighted to introduce Lydia Morrow as our September Designer of the Month! Lydia is a visionary knitwear designer known for her dedication to size inclusivity and her unique approach to pattern design. With a small team of talented freelancers, she crafts patterns that celebrate fit and creativity, offering 11 sizes with optional bust and hip shaping to ensure her designs cater to as many people as possible.

Lydia’s journey into the world of knitwear design began in art school, where she initially created crochet sculptures. After the birth of her child, she returned to crochet and knitting as a hobby, quickly realising the lack of accessible, size-inclusive patterns. This led her to start designing her own! Today, with the support of a tech editor, proofreader, graphic designer, and technical support team, Lydia shares her once-personal designs with a growing community of makers.

With a background in the arts and a passion for colour and imagery, Lydia brings a distinct visual voice to her patterns. Her designs often feature vintage-inspired colour blocking, nods to sportswear, and adaptable motifs that encourage knitters to experiment and make each piece their own. Lydia sees her customers as collaborators, inviting them to infuse their creativity into her patterns.
